In addition to level design, I also work as the sound designer on many of the project I've worked on.  It is a "work-by-doing" approach, and I am always learning how to create, edit, and mix sound and music.  I create sound in Reaper (with help from Aaron Cendan), FL Studio, and recording sounds with a Yeti USB microphone.

After creating the sound effects for Izcalli of the Wind, I edit them in Audacity.  I also record sound effects into Audacity.

Working together with Technical Designer Chesalon Taylor and Lead Programmer Gaelen Dignan, I used FMOD to create blendspaces for the sound effects and to integrate sound into the game.  On our first pass, we focused on making sure we could successfully integrate the sound effects into the game.  In the next passes, I will be adding in attenuation curves that will properly blend the sound effects together to create a seamless sound experience.

I also composed Izcalli's theme in Logic Pro X, which is now serving as our main soundtrack in the game.  Unlike sound effects except for the ambiance of life in the forest section of the island, music and its attenuation is implemented completely through Unreal Engine 4.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, I am unable to provide a screenshot of the loops and phrases used to create the theme.
